DGP J&K chairs a high level meeting at PHQ Jammu

JAMMU, JUNE 18: Director General of Police Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Dilbag Singh today chaired a high level meeting of officers to review the security scenario of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir particularly on the borders.
The meeting was held at Police Headquarters, Jammu and was attended by top officers of respective departments in person and many through using the Zoom conference facility.
At the outset of meeting the officers paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty in Galwan Valley, Ladakh a couple of days ago.
In his address the DGP J&K Shri Dilbag Singh complimented the Police, Army and CAPF for an outstanding performance in maintaing peace and harmony in the area and urged to continue with same.
He complemented Jawans in thier fight against encroachment from Pakistan and against Covid 19.
He said that in view of the Ladakh standoff, Pakistan will try to infiltrate more terrorists and also give impetus to violence in Kashmir Valley and emphasised extra survelience at the border in view of the Ladakh developments.
He cautioned of informations of likely attack by the terrorist outfits in The Union Territory in near future.He also said that the security presence on highway grid has been increased by putting in service mobile patrols and number of Nakas have also been increased.
During the meeting ceasefire violations and infiltration dynamics were discussed.
IGP BSF Jammu Shri N.S Jamwal gave a power point presentation with regard to strengthening of border grid and briefed about the security plans being made on LC and IB.
