Tehatta(Nadia), Aug 8: Tehatta police foiled an attempt of a gang of dacoits to loot a house and arrested 10 members of the gang on Friday night. Police seized knives, swords and long ropes from their possession. The gang of dacoits was arrested when they had assembled to plan the loot at a playing ground near an abandoned Health-Center building. When the police challenged them a few dacoits fled, but ten were caught red-handed. The accused are the residents of nearby villages in the Tehatta Police Station area. Krishanu Roy, Additional SP (Rural), said, the dacoits were assembled to plan something dangerous, but police foiled their plan after nabbing them. Police has registered a case and produced the accused to the court.
