Jhargram, Aug. 22: A tribal woman was allegedly raped at a forest near Karamshole village under Lalgarh PS by 2 BJP party-workers, Patit Bhuian and Raju Bhuian on Friday night. The accused were produced to the court on Saturday.

Police said, Patit Bhuianis the vice-president of Purnapani Booth and Raju is an anctive BJP worker.
Police said, in absence of the victim’s husband, the two accused trespassed her house and abducted her, taking the woman into a forest behind her house, they allegedly raped her. The woman was left there for a long time. After she regained consciousness, she somehow managed to reach home and narrated the ordeal to her husband. Later her husband narrated to their community. The police was informed. Lalgarh Police arrested the two accused from their house on Friday late night and booked under Indian Penal Code Section 376 (D)(gang rape).
