5 ‘vagabond’ children rescued by Taherpur Police

Taherpur (Nadia), Five children aged between 9-12, have been rescued by Taherpur police on Friday night and shifted them to shelter home on Saturday morning in association with ‘Child Line.’ Police rescued the ‘vagabond’ children after the locals informed them that five children were found moving aimlessly at Badkulla Railway Station.
Taherpur Police took the children to the police station and gave them food. Police came to know that they had been from different areas of the district, but why they assembled there unknown to the police.

The ‘Child Line’ organization took them to the shelter home on Saturday morning after they were informed by the Police and District Administration.
Debabrata Karmakar on behalf of ‘Child Line’ said, “They were kept in the shelter home for a time-being. The rescued children, who have parents, were sent home after counseling.’
