East Burdwan, Aug. 23: Again in West Bengal, a Police Station is allowed the complete closure after the 18 staff of Khandoghosh Police Station had been tested positive for the Covid 19. “It is decided that Khandoghosh Police station has been shifted their workplace to a structure used for wedding purposes. Former Officer-In-Charge Sanjay Roy is ordered to work as the in-charge of Khandoghosh PS,” Said Aminul Khan, the SDPO of Sadar South.
A few days ago, Orissa DGP asked the superintendents of police not to allow the temporary closure of police stations if the personnel get infected by Covid 19. In a video conference, the director general of police Abhay said temporary arrangements should be made on the campus of the affected police stations for the convenience of complainants.
According to police sources, four of the 18 Covid-19 infected police have been sent to the Covid hospital and the rest are in home-quarantine.
