Meghalaya Border: BSF seizes fake Indian currency, Bangladeshi held

Sillong, Sep. 18: The Border Security Force apprehended a Bangladeshi national Badal Mia (66) and seized Fake Indian Currency Note worth Rs 96,000 from his possession which was being smuggled from Bangladesh to India.
Acting on specific inputs, BSF troops deployed on the border along Meghalaya arrested Bangladeshi national Badal and seized Rs 96,000 of FICN, smuggled from across the border.

The BSF also recovered arms and ammunition along the Meghalaya border after these were smuggled from Bangladesh. BSF Deputy Inspector General U.K. Nayal asserted that the BSF personnel deployed along the Bangladesh border are performing their duties with full devotion to stop all illegal activities and trans-border crimes.
